Maybe having substitute teachers who are so close in age with their students isn't such a good idea.

The New York Post reports:

A 20-year-old substitute teacher had sex with a middle school student at his home in Indiana after asking the girl if she wanted to “do it,” police said.

Austin Kipp, who taught at Urey Middle School in Walkerton, was arrested Thursday after an investigation into rumors at the school that he had sex with a student, WBND reports.

Kipp, according to a probable cause affidavit, was a substitute teacher for two of the victim’s classes. The girl told detectives she and Kipp had spoken about her personal problems in November before she connected with him on social media platforms, including Facebook and Snapchat.

The girl told police she then met Kipp at a McDonald’s in Walkerton on Saturday before they returned to his home in North Liberty. Once there, Kipp and the girl started to watch a movie and “smoked a vape” before Kipp asked the girl if she wanted to “do it,” WBND reports.

After the couple had sex, Kipp asked the girl not to tell anyone because “he could go to jail,” according to the probable cause affidavit.
